Communication Boot Camp for couples: A couple-centered counseling workshop tailored to helping you and your partner communicate well with each other. As part of this marriage counseling near Naperville IL, you will learn some basics to enhance understanding, respect and cooperation in your relationship. This class runs continuously when I have six couples ready to begin. Registration fee is not required for this counseling near Naperville until a mutual date has been set.
This work is adapted from materials generated from the teachings of Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D. and others affiliated with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (NVC). The components of NVC consist of observations, feelings, needs and requests, thereby doing away with language that is judgmental, demanding, shaming and guilt-provoking. Poor communication is replaced by dialog and connection that is compassionate, caring and empathic so natural giving and acceptance can take place.
